Get ready for an unforgettable 4th of July in Mandeville! The city’s 10th Annual “Light Up the Lake” celebration promises a night of patriotic pride and family fun on Wednesday, July 3rd (with a rain date of July 4th).

Best of all, this event is completely free and open to the public!

The festivities kick off at 5 p.m. with the 6th Annual Mande Independence Day Parade, featuring prospective members, Mini Mande Dance campers, and plenty of patriotic throws. Be sure to grab a delicious milkshake from the group while you’re there!

Once the parade concludes, head over to the lakefront park for a night of entertainment and excitement. Food trucks will be serving up tasty treats starting at 5 p.m., and live music takes the stage at 6 p.m. to get you in the patriotic spirit.

But the real showstopper is the brilliant fireworks display sponsored by On Path FCU and Mortgage Solutions. At 8:30 p.m., marvel as the lakefront sky lights up with a dazzling display launched from a raised barge for optimal viewing.

Bring your picnic blankets and baskets and stake out your spot in the lakefront park starting at 10 a.m. (just remember, no glass bottles or charcoal grills allowed). The entertainment stage will be set up between Coffee and Carroll Streets, so you’ll have the perfect view of all the action.Get ready to celebrate America’s birthday in true Mandeville style!
